Bringing your dog?
We happily welcome dogs to Rosedale.
The number of dogs allowed depends on party size, and size of dogs. 10 adults won't leave space for lots of dogs, especially larger breeds of dogs. But 2 or 3 people - there's then plenty of space for dogs!
The rear garden is fully fenced and enclosed with solid 5 foot high fencing, with a 3 and a half feet high side access picket gate.
The front garden has a footbridge crossing the stream, to a wild-flower area and sloping bank down to the water. The front garden is not fenced - dogs should be kept on leads in this area.
There are loads of lovely countryside walks from the door.
There is a dog-friendly café and a dog-friendly bar / restaurant under half a mile stroll into the village.
We have a basket of things for your dog/s to use during your stay:
A fluffy throw to snuggle up on.
Towels for wet/muddy paws.
Food bowls and water bowls.
Pet rules:
You are responsible for your pets at all times. They must be microchipped and wear an collar with id - we also recommend they are insured.
Please ensure your pet is treated for fleas, wormed and vaccinated before your stay.
Please check all fences and gates at Rosedale, and its grounds are adequate for your pet before allowing them off lead - you are responsible for your pet at all times.
Our driveway is not fenced or gated from the road - ensure you have control of them before they exit your vehicle.
The hot tub is not for pets!
Never leave your dog alone or unattended in the house or gardens.
Only use the towels and throws provided in the pet basket for your pet. Please do not use any towels, blankets or throws we provide for people.
Dogs are not permitted on the beds. 3 of our 5 bedrooms have carpets, and are kept as pet-free areas. Please do not allow your pet into any of the carpeted bedrooms.
There are lots of lovely countryside walks in the area. There are also lots of farm animals and wildlife in the area too, along with other walkers, dogs and children. You must be in full control of your dog at all times. Please follow the guidelines found on the pdsa website here
Dog mess - please ensure that you clean up any dog mess ASAP. This can be bagged and placed in the outside bins. If out on a walk in the countryside, please bag it and place it in the poop bins - there are several around the village - the nearest is opposite our driveway.
Share lots of photos of your pets having their best time.
Enjoy!!!
